Tri-Pod Engaged

I met Shawn when it became obvious the size of my ass wasn't going to reverse all on it's own because I decided it was time.  A few days into a mundane workout I heard high pitched exuberance bouncing off the humdrum monotony at the gym.

"Oh my gosh, look at you!  You're doing it!"

Her cheerful excitement made my dour mood shudder inwardly.

      She's SO happy about exercising.

Shawn continued to coach a client.  I imagined the unlucky subject would soon catapult out of the building to escape the upbeat tone.  Warily I noticed a few more sit ups than normal were wrenched out of me.

     "It is time."

      What, she asks with dread?

"It is time to claim your power."

      Dude, that's so last year.

We went through this with the whole liquefying enterprise.

I began meditating and practicing serenity.

      Done, finis, discipline engaged.

"Yes, your mind is becoming disciplined."

Hey Big Guy, you gotta give me creds for the spirit stuff.

"You have engaged your spirit and the dance has begun."

"It is time for your physical body to follow."

     "You are a tri-pod."

     I sorta exercise.

I have a gym membership and bike when it's warm.

     "Where is your power?"

     Where is my power?

Most of my life I'd relied on sugar, carbs and caffeine to propel from one crisis to another.  Recently I'd given up wheat on a dare from my husband.  Unfortunately I'd discovered upon the removal of bread, pasta and cake, more energy was at my disposal and a long term skin rash disappeared.

The rocket fuel had served a purpose, allowing me to survive, but survival was no longer the point.

     I choose life.

A spirit requires activation.  I had done this with the wild shout out to break open my heart chakra several years prior.  When the wobbly center displayed itself twelve months ago, a meditation practice was engaged to discipline my mind.  Minus gasoline, the physical body would need to be brought to the party.  Chirpy, happy Shawn welcomed me to the tribe.

"Hi Deb!  Let's get too it, you're gonna LOVE what I've got planned."

Somewhere a Voice smiled.

Power is everlasting
It cannot be created or destroyed
But it can be transformed
A drumbeat echoes in a small wood
The drummer blends in the vibration
Space between the beats reach to the sky
Above the planet music greets sounds from past and future
A drummer transforms in the wisdom of ALL
Shedding the old ways, creating new
Power cannot be created or destroyed
We can be transformed

I ask you, could you, would you, can you live, breathe, achieve, parent without using the following phrases:

     "That's not possible."

     "I can't."

     "You should do this."

"Why don't you think about it this way?"

"That's not how I'd do it."

"You can't get, believe, want or dream that."

"If you don't do it the right way, you'll fail, lose, die and embarrass me."

"I'm not good, you're not good, they are bad, the world is wrong."

"If that happens, disaster will strike."

     "They aren't like us."

     "It isn't right."

I ask YOU.  Is it possible?

Karma Bombed

     "I'm being Karma Bombed."

     "What do you mean?"

A client stood in my office with an air of despair surrounding her like dust motes.

"I must have been a slave trader or a mastermind of something diabolical."

The woman is polite to the point of being rude and I'm fairly certain no insects had ever been injured in the process of making her movie.

"In a past lifetime.  I've got to clean up my past mistakes by having crap line my shoes
      every day."

Her heavy sigh whispered in my ears long after she left the office.  A few religions embrace Karma, in the same manner Christian's embrace hell, except the torturous experience is meted out while still breathing.

     Long live pain and suffering!

"There is no punishment for living."

Come on, payback is a consistent theme in God Talk.

"No, it's a consistent theme in human talk."

     So Karma is b.s.?

"It is another form of self abuse.  Carrying injury and pain lifetime to lifetime serves
no one, not even those who were harmed."

But isn't the point to learn something so as not to do it again?

"Learning comes from experience, not scarring."

What about paying back a debt, like when you hurt someone and the rest of
     their existence sucks?

"Life is not about plus and minus, it is about experience.  There are no debts only
      what IS."

But doesn't that put a big hole in the concept of forgiveness?

     "More human talk."

"Healing goes beyond forgiveness.  If there is acceptance of what IS there is healing,
      making forgiveness irrelevant."

Okay, that's going too far.  I have to forgive someone if they hurt me so I can

"Forgiveness is not what is necessary.  Acceptance and honor of what IS creates motion
      and fluidity."

     Acceptance and honor of pain?

"And joy and love and laughter.  There is nothing without ALL."

You're hitting the repeater button again.

Like the lemon green grass in an un-mowed field, experiences dance on a breezy day.  Each long tendril sways against the next soothing old itches, caressing away pain.  When a new crop emerges from Earth it doesn't arise with scars from before, it bursts into life bright green and fresh carrying knowledge of what IS.

Breathe, Dog Paddle, Breathe

      "Healing is always possible"
Tell that to the masses and there will be an ugly uprising.
     "Yet it is so."
What kind of healing are you talking about?
     "Healing of all."
Cancer, wheel chair bound, genetic diseases, whatever's out there?
"Don't get lost in the details."
     "There is nothing without ALL."
You once said this is merely scenery, not good or bad, but scenery.
      Illness is scenery?
"This realm is a cacophony of sights, sounds and experience."
What's scenery got to do with healing?
"Healing is a state of spirit."
     What do you mean?
"As you travel reality fades and story time takes over.  Healing is an act of claiming
      truth in place of fiction."
      In the face of illness?
     "In spite of it."
"There is no perfection other than the perfection of spirit truth."
     "Scenery is an illusion."
So, get the fuck over it?
"No.  USE it.  Incorporate the happenings into the experience."
Is spontaneous body healing an act of God?
"It is an act of ALL."
      Right person, time and place?
"It is a dance of awareness."
"Light arrives, a near blend with dark, cascading into ALL."
     That sounds like crap.
Why do some people physically, emotionally or mentally heal and others do not?
     "There is nothing without ALL."
      What's the big secret?
"In a tribe there are many members.  Those who are ill and those who are well.  A
Chief presides over the clan of many offering encouragement and wisdom though
      never dictating outcome."
"It is not possible to direct an end result."
So I've been pouring energy into what I want to happen for NOTHING?
"Power directed into experience is without measure.  Power directed to outcome is
lost.  Life cannot be controlled.  It is an organism without beginning or end.  The
miasma that is US is the wide open space of infinity.  WE simply exist."
      No beginning or end?
     "Infinity is timeless."
But power directed into experience is without measure?
"Swim with the wave and ride to shore."
Send my intention to what then?  A roll of the dice?
"Claim all possibility while directing power to the wisdom of ALL."
Back to the wake up drill?
       Wake up!
Real life beckons, the illusion grows stale.
       Wake the fuck UP!
A tree withstands wind and freezing rain.
Roots travel deep, seeking water for nourishment.
Leaves crumble to dust and are reborn.
The wave waits for no one, movement is required.
       Breathe, dog paddle, breathe.
Spirit withstands, is nourished and reborn.
       A wave approaches.
       We are ONE of ALL.
